Registrations are now open for Whānau Ora Hui 2018. “With pre-sales at nearly 300, places are limited. So getting in early is very important”, says Te Pou Matakana CEO John Tamihere.
Whānau Ora Hui 2018 focuses on the next step in the journey for Whānau Ora as we create positive intergenerational change for, by and with whānau (families). Every two years those working in the not-for-profit, social services sector, and philanthropists gather together. “We expect over 500 for the three-day event, says John Tamihere.
“We don’t want to give too much away at this stage, but you can expect a world-class line up of local and international speakers.”
Showcasing excellent national and international speakers, practical workshops and great networking opportunities. You will hear first-hand whānau success stories through inspirational whānau voices, and gain a greater understanding of the vital work Whānau Ora partners are doing in our communities, every day.
Co-design, innovation and collaboration will direct the future for Whānau Ora. We put whānau at the centre of our approach, services and support wrapped around them to aid success. Specialist
staff, Kaiārahi (Navigators) are at the heart of this work and their role is pivotal to the success of Whānau Ora.
This progressive ‘way of doing things’ is poised to take the social sector by storm. Come and see how Te Pou Matakana’s unique commissioning approach is changing lives. Be a part of it with us.
